Upcoming EUROSAI Network for Ethics N.ET Seminar: Applying Ethical Principles in the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Auditing

The Chair and Co-Chair of the EUROSAI Network for Ethics (N.ET), SAI Croatia and SAI Portugal, are pleased to announce and invite all EUROSAI Members to the upcoming Seminar on Ethics, to be held on 17 October 2025 in Lisbon, under the theme:
“Applying Ethical Principles in the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Auditing”
This timely and forward-looking event will focus on the integration of ethical standards into the use of artificial intelligence in public sector auditing. With AI playing an increasingly significant role in audit processes, the Seminar will provide a platform for open discussion on the opportunities, challenges, and ethical implications surrounding its use.

The agenda will cover a range of issues, including:
This will be an in-person event, hosted by the Tribunal de Contas of Portugal at the Jupiter Hotel, ideally located just across from the Portuguese Court of Auditors. A welcome reception will take place on the evening of 16 October, offering participants an opportunity to connect in a more informal setting.
Participation and Practical Information
The Seminar is open to all EUROSAI Members, and participation is encouraged for both managers and auditors, as the topic is broad and cross-cutting. Each SAI may nominate up to three participants.
