65th EUROSAI GOVERNING BOARD was held in Rome on 25 and 26 May 2026
The meeting of the EUROSAI Board of Directors was held in Rome on May 25 and 26, 2026 as part of the organization's regular activities, during which the EUROSAI Ethics Network (N.ET) presented its progress and activities for the period 2025-2026. The State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia and the Portuguese Tribunal de Contas represented the Ethics Network (N.ET) as chair and vice-chair.
The presented activities are aimed at strengthening ethics, integrity and the fight against corruption within Supreme Audit Institutions, with a special emphasis on challenges related to the digital environment and the application of artificial intelligence in audit work. Special attention was paid to the initiative to revise ISSAI 130 - Code of Ethics, in order to ensure its relevance and applicability in the context of the use of artificial intelligence.
The process of starting a formal audit according to INTOSAI procedures has already started. The presentation of activities at the Governing Board meeting further highlighted the importance of international cooperation, knowledge exchange and a coordinated approach to ethical issues in developing a modern and sustainable ethical framework for the audit community.
