Strengthening integrity from the inside: Spotlight on the role of internal auditors
This session will shine a spotlight on how internal auditing plays a pivotal role in creating and supporting a robust governance framework. It will highlight the importance of collaboration, strategic alignment, and adherence to global standards to get the most out of internal audit and to create a stronger integrity system.
Our speakers Shaun Dowers, Board Chair, Emma Hine, Board member and Brian Robb, Senior internal auditor and trainer from Institute of Internal Auditors of New Zealand will be joined by some of their members from Tonga to build our understanding of their role and how good internal audit systems support the national integrity system to thrive. The session will be chaired by Andrew McConnell, Deputy Auditor-General of New Zealand.
This event is led by Office of the Auditor-General of New Zealand, but forms part of the advocacy and good governance programme of the Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI).
