Bilateral meeting and seminar on ethics in the Audit office of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina

On April 20, 2023, Ivan Klešić, Auditor General and Nediljka Rogošić, Deputy Auditor General, paid a bilateral visit to the Audit Office of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, at the invitation of the Audit Office of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where it was also held a seminar on ethics.
At the meeting with Hrvoje Tvrtković, Auditor General, and Ranko Krsman and Jasmin Pilica, Deputy Auditors General of the Audit Office of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and their associates, a number of topics of common interest and possible modalities of future cooperation were discussed, especially in the context of activities related to the process preparation for the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union.
During the seminar, the ethical frameworks of both institutions were presented, including a review of ethical aspects in audit processes, and presentations and discussions were held on the topic of ethics, ethical codes, and tools for monitoring and evaluation. Discussions were also held on the topic of ethical dilemmas in auditing with examples from practice and ethics auditing in the public sector, including an example of auditing the effectiveness of the functioning of the ethical infrastructure in the public sector bodies of the Republic of Croatia and a review of ethics auditing in political parties. The seminar ended with a presentation of the activities of EUROSAI's Network on Ethics chaired by the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia, followed by a constructive discussion on the topics presented.
