Bilateral visit of the Auditor General of Albania

On 8 and 9 November 2018 at the invitation of Mr. Ivan Klešić, Auditor General of Croatia, Mr. Bujar Leskaj, Auditor General of Albania, with his associates: Rinaldo Muca, Director of Performance Audit Department, Irena Islami, Director of Department of Communications and Amantia Patozi, State Auditor, was in Zagreb in bilateral visit.


The main topics of the meeting were related to institutional developments, discussion on parallel audits and the positive effects of the twinning project which was carried out by the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia in the State Audit Office of the Republic of Albania in the last 2.5 years, together with the State Audit Office of the Republic of Poland.


During a bilateral visit, colleagues from the Albanian office met with the heads of the Regional Offices of Rijeka and Pazin to discuss the organization of the audit at the local level. They also visited the Vinodol Municipality, whereby Mr. Bujar Leskaj was decorated by the the special plaque and a copy of the Vinodol Code by Mr. Marinko Karlić, Mayor of Vinodol Municipality.


Colleagues from the State Office for Albania during the visit appreciated the topics and information they received and expressed special interest in conducting parallel audits.
