EU Contact Committee 2018

The Contact Committee is the framework for cooperation between the Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions of the EU Member States and of the European Court of Auditors, as well as EU candidate countries in the status of active observers. It also includes the liaison officers, providing an active network of professional contacts across Europe and working groups, networks and project groups for special audit questions. The Contact Committee acts as an autonomous, independent and apolitical forum for discussion on topics of common professional interest, with a view to contributing to the improvement of financial and general management of the European Union, and to promote contacts and exchange of information between stakeholders.
 
The Chair of the Contact Committee shall be elected by agreement between the members of the Contact Committee two years in advance. At the 2016 meeting, for the Chair of the Contact Committee in 2018 and hosting the meeting in October 2018, the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia was elected.
