Participation in the Annual Meeting of the EUROSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing
The Annual Meeting of the Working Group on Environmental Auditing (EUROSAI WGEA) was held in Warsaw on 7 and 8 May 2025, organized by the Supreme Audit Institution of Poland, and was attended by a total of 75 participants from European Supreme Audit Institutions, as well as participants from the European Court of Auditors and the European Environment Agency. The topic of the meeting was climate change adaptation and mitigation policies as a challenge for agriculture.
The Annual Meeting included workshops on the challenges faced by Supreme Audit Institutions when defining the scope and objectives of performance audits of public policies related to climate action, agriculture and water quality.
The results of the audits and analyses carried out in the areas of natural resource management and environmental protection were presented. A presentation on the impact of climate action on the state of agriculture in the European Union was given by a representative of the European Environment Agency, while key findings from audits conducted in the area of climate action were presented by representatives of the European Court of Auditors and the Supreme Audit Institutions of France, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Norway, Poland and the United Kingdom.
Representatives of the Croatian State Audit Office demonstrated the most significant results of the performance audit Climate Change Adaptation in the Republic of Croatia.
