STUDY VISIT FROM SAI MONTENEGRO: An audit of political parties (Zagreb, 21-23.09.2015)
A three day study visit was organized in cooperation with Technical Assistance Information Exchange Instrument of the European Commission - TAIEX, and the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia.
Participants were three representatives of the State Audit Institution of the Republic of Montenegro, as well as representatives of the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia responsible for auditing of political parties.
The focus of the study visit was: exchange of experience of the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia and the State Audit Institution of Montenegro in the audit of political parties and other entities participating in political activities, consideration of methodology in the part relating to the audit of political parties, with the use of case studies, and exchange of views on possibilities of improvement of methodology, and discussion on limitations and difficulties in performing the audit of political parties. As part of the study visit is also organized a meeting with representatives of the State Electoral Commission of the Republic of Croatia, during which the participants were familiarized with the experience of this body in the supervision of electoral campaign and the control of political parties, as well as with its collaboration with the State Audit Office.
